Counselling Service - Herefordshire Mind provides a low cost, professional, counselling service in order to meet the needs of individuals experiencing mental health issues. Great care is taken that counsellors are well trained and experienced. The organisation is a member of the British Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP) and is therefore bound by their professional code of ethics.
Supported Housing Service – Herefordshire Mind has high quality supported accommodation for up to twelve people who have varying degrees of mental, social and emotional difficulties. Also, a service is being developed to support people living in their own or other housing providers homes.

These are the standard ways of providing community mental health care in the UK. The five CMHTs in Herefordshire, two of which are based in Hereford City these are referred to as Community Mental Health Services and their catchment is defined by GP practices, rather than by location. Referral to a CHMT is made by a GP. Self-referrals are not accepted unless the individual is already known to the service. Increasingly, these services are only provided for people who have severe and enduring mental health problems.

The Migraine Trust can help the migraine sufferer to understand and manage their condition through the Trust's extensive support services department, which offers advice and information on ways that the sufferer can learn to manage their condition. The Trust can help the migraine sufferer achieve this through its management guide, regular newsletter and fact sheets on specific aspects of migraine. There is a helpline, which is open Monday to Friday 9.00am to 5.00pm. The trust also funds research and holds international symposia and courses for health professionals. We are a small group who meet at 7.30pm on the third Thursday of alternate months, starting in January, at the Ryefield Centre in Ross. Our main purpose is social contact and exchange of ideas, and although several of our members are not fit to attend meetings they keep in touch by phone and through our regular newsletter. So you don’t need to be mobile to join! Nor do you need to be vertical/lucid/on a graded exercise regime/going jogging daily. There is no subscription.
