The Association has over 100 support groups and help lines throughout the UK and sells a wide range of books on Fibromyalgia plus promotional and awareness items.  GPs and other medical professionals can request a medical information pack at no cost.  Send sae for an information pack.  Helpline is available from 10.00 am to 4.00 pm weekdays, answer machine at other times.

First Key is a SCOPE DAILY LIVING Service. SCOPE's aim is that all disabled people achieve equality. First Key provides community based services to adults who have cerebral palsy and associated disabilities. Services include: registered care, domiciliary care and support to people living in their own homes. First key has a Community Development team who enable individuals to plan and develop lifestyles of their choice. An active service user group

To Travel as a Passenger: Inform the airline well in advance of the date that you expect to travel and the disability so that appropriate arrangements can be made.  Label each part of a wheelchair as it may become separated in the baggage hold.  Electric wheelchairs cannot be carried by aircraft because of the fire hazard from batteries.  A wheelchair can be provided by airline at both ends of the journey.  (Personal wheelchairs will be carried in the baggage hold).  More information from ABLE.

Full House is an independent registered charity providing donated goods free to people in need.  The range covers furniture, cookers, bedding and household effects.  The service covers the whole of Herefordshire and beyond.  Clients are serviced through referral from one of the local referring agencies:  Social Services, ABLE or Citizens Advice Bureau.  Potential clients should contact one of these agencies.  Clients can make personal selection on Tuesdays and Fridays between 10.00 am and 3.00 pm.   Contact: Unit 705 Fordshill Road, Rotherwas, Hereford HR2 6NS.

Deaf Students integrate, with suitable support on courses at all colleges of further education.  There is a service to provide support for hearing impaired adults or visually impaired people who wish to take College course.  Contact the learning Support Manager of the college to be attended or Brian Perry, County Specialist Support Service - Further and Higher Education, 17 Castle Street, Worcester WR1 3AD. There are facilities for people with disabilities.  The original building has a level access to the front of the college, a lift to the first floor and a disabled toilet. Herefordshire College of Technology, offers courses for students with learning difficulties and disabilities in a group situation and responds to the specific needs for the individual.  Available courses including bridging courses leading to the Bronze award, the Further Education Award, Word Power, Number Power and part time course for adults including independent living skills, keyboard skill, Home Management, Practical Workshop skills. Herefordshire College of Art and Design is accessible to people with disabilities.  The Contract Course is for students with learning difficulties.  It is a 3 year full-time course, but may be accessed on a part-time basis.
